Portrait of Adelaide Patricia (aka Addy, Addy Patty, Butt Butt, Damnit Dog).

Working from a photograph, I laid out the initial sketch with a pencil, I then went over that sketch with a black gel pen. Once the ink was dry, I scanned the piece and worked on cleaning up the lines with Photoshop. After this cleanup, I moved the image into Adobe’s Fresco. Fresco allowed me to experiment with the final look of the piece using the live watercolor brushes. This ability to experiment with the techniques and styles allowed me to capture who Addy was.
