We’ll get taken for a ride by a
parlor trick or some words of wit
This painting was a spur of the moment work that formed as I painted over a previously used canvas. I prefer the spontaneity of working without a plan, but it can make things much more difficult. Sometimes the idea never quite gels and the painting must be abandoned, which is what happened to the original painting underneath this work. But sometimes the idea flows out and creates something unique.
This piece was my first accepted submission to Riverview’s annual juried show. The 10th Annual Juried Show was also the first time Riverview’s had hosted a national call for artists.
